AlphaFirst

How our pricing works

A plain guide to how AlphaFirst talks about pricing before work starts.

Clear costs before you commit

We are open about pricing early, because no one wants to book a call only to find out the service was never realistic.

Some of our work has a clear fixed price. Some depends on the number of people, sites, systems and moving parts involved. Either way, we will talk about cost early and plainly, before you are expected to make a decision.

Business IT support

Ongoing business IT support can vary, because the cost depends on what needs looking after.

That can include Microsoft 365, users, devices, servers, cloud backups, spam filtering, Cyber Essentials, desktop and laptop installations, security basics, sites, remote workers and any parts of the handover that need careful handling.

Once we understand how things are set up, we can give you a clear idea of the likely monthly cost before you commit to anything.

If you are looking at ongoing business IT support, we can explain the offer, the likely monthly cost and what needs to be in place before the free period starts.

Fixed-price Day-1 Build

Day-1 Build is our fixed-price route for replacing one spreadsheet, tracker or manual process with a working hosted system.

Our standard Day-1 Build price is £1,950 + VAT.

That price covers one focused build: understanding the job, building the first working system, loading real data and getting it into use.

Ongoing hosting is £39/month.

The Day-1 Build price covers the focused build itself. Support, future changes, extra reporting, automation and wider software work are priced separately. If you need any of these, we will discuss them clearly before you commit.

A good fit when…

  • A spreadsheet, tracker or manual workaround has become too important to leave alone
  • Reports, handovers or checks are taking longer than they should
  • One person is holding the process together because they know how it works
  • Getting the first working version live is more important than covering every edge case on day one

Custom software

Some problems are too large, too unusual or too connected to existing systems for a Day-1 Build.

The right answer may still be a smaller first version, a clearer process, or fixing one part of the problem before touching the rest.

If custom software is the better route, we will explain why, what would need to be looked at first and how the cost is likely to be worked out.

We will point you towards the simpler next step when that would do the job. But when a larger system is genuinely needed, we have the skills and experience to help.

Let’s talk it through

Bring the problem as it stands. We will help you understand the likely cost and whether the right next step is a Day-1 Build, ongoing IT support, a specific IT service, a larger software project or a simpler answer altogether.

If another route makes more sense, we would rather say that early.
